ABOUT US
Hickory Lane Farm is located in the rolling hills of Litchfield County, Connecticut. We bred purebred Nigerian Dwarfs and have recently started an American Oberhasli herd. Our Nigerian Dwarfs are registered under the herd name of HLFM and our Oberhasli are under the herd name Cross Brook Farm.
We are an American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) Plus herd - doing DHIA milk testing, Linear Appraisal, and DNA testing. In addition, we show at local, regional, and national levels. In 2018, one of homebred junior does (HLFM PH Raspberry Delight) was 1st Place Junior Kid at the ADGA National Show for both the Open and Youth Embedded show. In 2021, we had the ADGA National Show Nigerian Dwarf Premier Youth Junior Doe - HLFM PG Avocado.
In 2022, we had 12 does place in the top 20 (9 being in the top 10), including the 3rd Place ND Senior Kid, 4th Place ND 5+6yo Milker, 5th Place ND Intermediate Kid, 5th Place Oberhasli Intermediate Kid, 8th Place ND 3yo Milker, 8th Place ND Aged Doe, 9th Place ND Senior Dry Yearling, 10th Place ND Senior Dry Yearling, and the 10th Place ND Intermediate Kid. We had 2nd Place ND Dairy Herd and 4th Place ND Best 3 Juniors.
